call for audition, new workplace and the secret
I don't really have much time and energy to blog ever since I started a job contract last week. Coming back from work, it's already 9 p.m. and I have other freelance projects which needs to be done as well. Talking about my 'temporary' workplace, I really love it here because of the nice and cozy environment, friendly colleagues and tonnes of projects waiting for me to get it done (which is good as time flies so fast).
Yesterday while enjoying my favourite mint chocolate chip ice cream at Baskin Robbins, I received a call from Nokia asking me to go for audition (Nokia Wireless Challenge) at Westin Hotel this Saturday at 4.10 p.m. I submitted an application in April teaming up with my sis. Apparently my sis have to work this Saturday because there's going to be live show on Astro. Hope she can get a colleague to help out so that we can attend the audition. Well... I don't have any idea on how my team can impress the interviewers. I don't think talking alone will work in this audition. I'm thinking of either be ourselves and hope for nothing or do something to show our enthusiasm like chewing a live worm or something. And I can do juggling too. Haha...what do you think?
My sis bought me the book, The Secret, few weeks ago. I'm not sure if it's a coincidence or what. I read the book and try to 'practise' it, you know, sending signal / frequency through visualization to the universe and guess what? I received a cheque in my postbox (which I have waited for so long) yesterday. This explain why I celebrated it with a mint chocolate chip ice cream :) Some people might not believe it, but it works for me. Well, at least once.

Hey congrats and good luck for the audition. I didn’t apply for the Nokia Challenge coz I was not feeling well...not in the mood.
I’ve read about ‘The Secret’ in the paper. Thought of buying the book too.

Sam: Yeah, I really wish to have lotsa money coming in now :)
Vhanded: err... sending signal in The Secret context is visualize what you want. Be specific of what you want to achieve. And when you 'wish' for something, try to ask for it in a positive way.

I believe it is an overly hyped popular belief that MAY strengthen your motivation and determination ...aka a normal help book.
It's just the packaging and marketed by Larry King and Oprah that made in like a wild hit.
Because theoretically, if what's being said can be practical, I've illustrated in a more earlier post.. gather a mass of 2000 people focusing a 4 digit TOTO number..
Of coz, it's just my perception.

Actually I don't have any intention to prove you wrong but it was such a coincidence that I had read about your post. Then I read the book to see if it works and I don't have any expectation.
Ok lar, to see whether The Secret really works, I'll try to send signal (:P) to the universe again and see if I'll strike 4D 1st, 2nd or 3rd prize. I've bought 4D since I was in Form 6 and never kena even 3rd prize before. So let's see.

Anyway, I don't mind being prove right or wrong in this situation. Like religion, if it works to a certain extend for each individual and improve one's life more meaningful, it's blatantly wrong of me to question on it..
