Merdeka advertisement that touches my heart

If you have spent the Merdeka holiday in front of the TV, probably you have come across Yasmin Ahmad's latest project. Titled Tan Hong Ming In Love, the beautiful Merdeka commercial touches my heart as well as tickles me.

The commercial reminds us about the filmmaker's award-winning movie, Sepet, which explores the love between a Chinese boy and a Malay girl. It also remind us that we should be like the children, colour blind and live without prejudice and judgment.

    My dialup is too slow la. Cannot watch. :( I didn't get to watch this ad in the tv as well because I watch astro most of the time. LOL

    Very cute acting but the message is very meaningful for Merdeka. When will we able to called ourself Bangsa Malaysia not Malaysia Malay, Chinese, Indians, Bumiputras, Ibans etc??? 100th Merdeka Celebration?

    che-cheh: oops... i try to catch the advertisement again but seems like it seldom feature on the tv.

    sam: dunno when. 100th celebration? wow now I think i really appreciate the 50 years of independence. Yeah, need to change the template to motivate myself to come back often.
