Ugly Sunday morning as thousands of Indians protest in Kuala Lumpur
This year supposed to be Visit Malaysia Year and our 50th Independence. However, it seems that the people in this country no longer respect that.
Few weeks ago, the opposition party took over the street and barely a month after that, the Hindu Rights Action Force (Hindraf) who said to be representing the entire Indian community protest in the street of Jalan Ampang blamed the British government for their poor economic status in this country.
After a series of roadblocks in the past couple of days in Kuala Lumpur and Petaling Jaya, which caused inconvenience for the public road users, the rally still continues with over ten thousands of Indians joined the protest while I'm still soundly asleep.
To be honest, demanding for trillions of dollars and carrying banners that says "We Want Our Right" is rather inappropriate or should I say rather late. Why waited for 50 years only to stand up for their right? What about the other ethnic group (read Chinese) whom their great grandparents migrate to Malaya penniless and without the support from the British government and yet managed to build their economic status here from scratch? And let's not forget, we have a lot of successful Indians in our community which a lot of them are well respected.
Please don't spoil a happy Sunday and the peace in this country which the rest of us enjoy all this years.

Peace in this country?
What you spend your Sundays getting high on grass is it?
I've met junkies who are less disillusioned than you are.
And not to mention that racist undertone of your post.
Look at your own fuck face before mentioning "ugly" the next time.

What can I say?
You are an ignorant, selfish and stupid fool !
Being a Chinese myself , I am ashamed of you !!!!!!!!!

you self-centred louse of a comfortable most likely BN supporting idiot, if you can't morally support suppressed fellow Malaysians sacrificing their Sundays to fight the oppressors, JUST SHUT UP!
I hope when the next Oppression cometh, they hit your complacent family first. Yes, I then won't pity you. May God save us from the likes of you. Amen ~~ Desi, YL

I am afraid you need to hear the other side of the story a little bit more. Try to catch that video that I watched during Malam Bangsa Malaysia .
Google for 10 tahun sebelum Merdeka and understand where these problems cropped from.

I think you're in very very comfort zone..i mean under a coconutshell and refusing see any political, etnnic, economic issues with very rational and practical ways. If you choose that way(i mean ignorance way) don't blame others if they know what is right to be asked and know what their condition will in another 50 years to come if they ignore now. Keep your stupidness yourself...if you showoff that...people will shit on your face at which you're responsible for it.
-
"Peace these years" or plain ignorant?
What is the point of only respecting the successful ones? please respect every human being!

Else you are just a gov-puppet Malaysian...

I'm sorry for you, dude. I guess you need to do some real soul searching. Best, anyway.
-
Dear all,
I guess I'm just one of the pro-gov people in this blogosphere that filled with people who support the opposition parties. I'm still standing by to what I truly believe in.
-
It's not about being pro-government or pro-opposition; not to mention that the Opposition itself is part of the government system, hence it isn't really even being anti-government if you're an Opposition supporter.
It is about the fact that tens of thousands of people would feel desperate enough to risk definite repression just to say enough is enough. These are not your atypical Opposition activists .. they are the typical auntie, uncles, and machas who would have better things to do on a Sunday afternoon than getting beaten up, inhaling copious amounts of chemical agents and getting drenched with poisonous compounds.
Perhaps you may already have an exit visa with an immigration approval elsewhere and see no need to really give a darn about what happens to this country. I have 2 kids who for all intents and purposes would probably have to grow up and make a living here. I have a vested interest in trying to ensure that they have a secure future. I don't see that happening with the current administration.
-
bob k: sorry but I don't have an exit visa or anything but to live the rest of my life here in this country and at the same time serve the country with my small bit of contribution.
-
Dear HC Foo,
Can't you see or feel that all is not well in this country call Malaysia ?
Are'nt you aware of the rampant corruption, abuse of power , cronyism ,favouritism and all the ills happening ?
If the current state of affairs carry on , it won't be too long that this nation will degrade itself into a banana republic.

Anon: Please dont assume that I support the government blindly. Read my other posts to see my dissatisfaction about the government.
Anyway I'm not interested to discuss this matter anymore because my post create hatred and anger among the supporters from the opposition parties. However I respect those who give me concrete and most importantly respectful comments here.
-
hindraf did make some impact but i doubt current govt will take anything seriously.
our politicians are made of a bunch of selfish clowns.
tell me when was the last time a great political leader was remembered?
-
radhakrishnan: then tell me who can be a great political leader?
-
hcfoo,
I smell a running dog and that's you, hcfoo. People like you are an embarassment. You are an MCA member and you guys betray the chinese people. Go back to your gangster infested party.
-
anon: i can choose to delete your comment or I can choose to keep it. I can speak my mind with my name and my face in my blog but you can only speak as an anonymous.
and for your info, i'm no longer an mca member or anyone's member. I'm just an observer waiting to make my decision on who should i vote for the upcoming election. and i haven't make up my mind yet.
-
c-foo,
get iff your high horse since your moma don't work in a rubber estate.
-
Anon: Do u know me? I grow up with my best friend whose parents wakes up as early as 4 am in the morning and earn a living rubber tapping. And her family worked their way out of poverty, and now they have their own properties and my friend is continuing her Master degree in Australia after years of hard work.
So don't give me bullshit about what Hindraf can do or fight for the Indian community. And MIC isn't a help either. It's all about us fighting for what we deserve. And I don't mean fighting means organising protest or illegal rally.
