What I've learned from chasing my tennis idol

For most people, I'm a crazy 30-year-old who chases her idol. And in this particular case, I wanted to meet my tennis idol, Rafael Nadal.

However, to me, it's not just about meeting Nadal. I admire his fighting spirit in the court but that's not the main reason why I started a campaign to meet him.

To meet the world no. 2 tennis player in the world who hasn't come to Southeast Asia before is hard. And to get to take picture with him is even harder. But now I have to say that anything is possible.

When you are driven by a goal, work your way (legally) towards that goal and you'll eventually get what you want. And perhaps visualization is important too in making yourself believe that you are able to accomplish what you have started.

I agree with you that anything is possible if we have a effort. plan and goal. You have done it. Cheers :)

    hi..
I've been folowing you blog about nadal's match in malaysia.

i'm envious! I actually waited at the Ritz for Nadal and he showed up at 11pm!! (you posted that he'll be there bout 5pm) but then he wasnt keen on taking pictures already. But i had a good view of him tho the camera wasnt that fast.

I thought he'll be there at the ritz!
Should have been smart and gone to KLIA.

by the way, you have any news on federer schedule to malaysia?
    would really appreciate it.

Sam: thank you. and seriously I can do it without all the support from you guys.

June: I was at Ritz Carlton Hotel at 4 pm too but my friend in Astro who is working on site for the brief appearance told me it has been cancelled last minute. I waited at the arrival hall but they didn't pass by there. Luckily I bumped into some media people and asked them and managed to find ways to the press conference.

As for Fedex, he'll be here in Malaysia tomorrow. From what I've heard, Fedex will be here by private jet and will land in Subang Airport instead of KLIA. But as usual, I'm not sure if there's any last minute changes.

Shireen: haha, yep i couldn't sleep the whole night because I couldn't believe I actually met him in person after so many years of watching him play on TV.

Anon: hey, i bet you enjoy the match as much as I do. so lucky of you to be able to touch him tonite. I can't believe there's so many people who came. As usual, the flight schedule wouldn't be confirmed until last minute. And fans and including the organizer would have to wait patiently at the airport.

vhanded: yes it's indeed possible. sometimes people doubt if we can do that but if you focus on what you want to do, strive hard to get what you want. U will eventually succeed ;) Go for it and all the best to you!
